At Emerald City Karate, we’ve got you covered!

We host a Parents’ Night Out (PNO) at the dojo where kids can have an exciting evening while parents enjoy some much-needed time to themselves—whether that means going out for a movie, enjoying a nice dinner, or simply having some quality time together.

NO MARTIAL ARTS EXPERIENCE? NO PROBLEM!

Our PNO is designed to be fun and engaging for children of all experience levels, from complete beginners to advanced martial artists.

Kids can look forward to an action-packed evening featuring:

• 🔫 NERF Blaster games

• ⚔️ Foam Sword Battles

• 🏐 Dodgeball

• 🤝 Team-building activities

• And much more!

Our PNO events provide a safe, positive, and supervised environment where kids can have fun, stay active, and build confidence while spending time with positive role models.

No Experience Needed! Your child will have a blast even if they’ve never trained in martial arts before!

NERF Blaster Games: Every PNO features NERF Blaster excitement in a safe and responsible environment. Safety glasses will be provided and must be worn during these activities.

Pizza Provided: We’ll provide pizza for the kids, so there’s no need to feed them before dropping them off.

AGES

• Ages 6 and older

EVENT TIME

• 5:30 PM–8:30 PM

DROP-OFF & PICK-UP TIMES

• Drop-off starts at 5:15 PM

• Pick-up starts at 8:15 PM

• Please pick up your child(ren) by 8:30 PM

A $15 late fee will be charged for every 5 minutes after 8:30 PM.

IMPORTANT NOTES

• All participants should wear comfortable activewear and leave valuables at home.

• All participants must be toilet trained.

• Please let us know via email if your child has any allergies or special dietary needs. We provide pizza during the event and can order a gluten-free pizza separately, but we need to know before the pizza order is placed. If your child requires dietary accommodations beyond gluten-free, you may need to provide their food for the event.

WHAT TO BRING

• A water bottle

• A NERF blaster, if you have one
  (Darts are provided by the dojo, so please DO NOT bring your own darts.)

If your child doesn’t have a NERF blaster or your household doesn’t allow them, no problem! We have a limited number available to borrow. Please let us know before the event if your child will need to borrow one.

PRICING

First Child:

• Active ECK Student: $30 per child

• Non-Active ECK Student: $40 per child

Additional Siblings:

• Active ECK Student: $27 per child

• Non-Active ECK Student: $36 per child

The Active ECK Student rate is only available to Emerald City Karate students with an active monthly membership. Students participating in the 2-week trial are not eligible for the Active ECK Student rate.

HOW TO REGISTER

1. Go to Zen Planner Event Registration and find “Parents’ Night Out” under Events.

2. Click the red “Sign Up” button and read through all the information about our Parents’ Night Out event.

3. Fill out all required personal information.

4. Make sure to select the correct price for your child(ren).

5. Enter your payment information and sign the waiver.

We’ll reach out if any required information is missing or if an incorrect fee is selected. Failure to respond promptly may result in losing your spot.
